Not a curative treatment for angina attacks nor as initial treatment for unstable angina or MI, nor in pre-hospital phase or during the 1st days of hospitalization. Can cause or worsen parkinsonian symptoms (tremor, akinesia, hypertonia) especially in elderly. W/drawal of use when movement disorders eg, parkinsonian symptoms, restless leg syndrome, tremors, gait instability occurs (low incidence & usually reversible after discontinuation). Falls may occur, related to gait instability or hypotension, in particular in patients taking antihypertensive treatment. Moderate renal impairment. Patients w/ problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrose-isomaltase insufficiency. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <18 yr. Elderly >75 yr.
